Zachary M. Arthurs, MD came to Coastal Vascular and Vein Center as a highly awarded retired Lieutenant Colonel in U.S Army with almost 15 years of Vascular Surgery experience. During his time serving our country, Dr. Arthurs led the most prestigious military Vascular Surgery Department at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Arthurs received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Nuclear Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he then went on to complete medical school at the University of Oklahoma. His General Surgery residency was completed at Madigan Army Medical Center, followed by a Vascular Surgery fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Arthurs is double board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and currently sits on the program committee for the Pacific Northwest Endovascular Conference and is positioned on the the editorial board for the Journal of Vascular Surgery

A fellow in the American College of Surgeons, he is also apart of the following organizations:

  • South Carolina Medical Association
  • Charleston Medical Society
  • South Carolina Vascular Society
  • Society for Vascular Surgery
  • Society for Peripheral Vascular Surgery
